Abstract

OBJECTIVE To explore the effects of the extracts(flavonoid, polysaccharide and water extract) from Yulangsan(YLS) on the blood lipids and the hemorheology in hyperlipidemic rats induced by high lipid diet.METHODS Healthy SD rats were raised by high lipid diet to establish the hyperlipidemic rat model.Serum lipoprotein levels and haemorheology(included WBV,PV,RV,HCT,TK,IR,RE,Fib) were tested after treatment of the hyperlipidemic rats with corresponding drugs once per day for 14 consecutive days.RESULTS Compared with the model group, the levels of the serum TC,TG,LDL-C,apoB and AI were decreased significantly, while that of apoA1,HDL-C and apoA1/apoB were increased significantly(P0.05 or P0.01) in all treated groups. And the 8 indexes of hemorheology all decreased significantly(P0.05 or P0.01).High and low dose groups of YLS flavonoids especially had the most obvious improving effects.CONCLUSION The lipid metabolic disorder and hemorheology abnormality of hyperlipidemic rats are improved significantly by the treatment with YLS extracts which have positive significance in the hyperlipidemia treatment.
