Abstract

In the presence of cation surfactant CTMAB, the color reaction and photometric capabilities of 2,3,7-trihydroxy-9-(4,5-dibromo-o-nitro) phenylfluorone(DBONPF) with tin(Ⅳ) were studied. In the 0.2 mol/L H_2SO_4 medium, the DBONPF reacts with tin(Ⅳ) to form a complex with stoichiometric ratio of 2∶1, a maximum absorption at 543 nm and an apparent molar absorptivity of 5.59×10~5 L·mol~(-1)· cm~(-1), the detection limit is 3.01 μg/L. Beer's law was obeyed in the range of 0~400 μg/L tin(Ⅳ). The method has been applied for the determination of tin in ore samples.
