Abstract
In the presence of cetyltrimethylammonium bromide(CTMAB),the color reaction and photometric properties of a newreagent2,3,7-trihydroxy-9-(3,5-dichloro-4-hydroxyl)phenylfluorone(DCHPF)with tungsten(Ⅵ)were studied. In the0.6mol/LHCl medium, the DCHPF reacts with tungsten(Ⅵ)from a red complex with stoichiometric ratio of2∶1,a maximum absorption at536nm and an apparent molar absorptivity of1.28×10 5 L·mol -1 ·cm -1 .Beer's lawwas obeyed in the range of0~0.4mg/L tungsten(Ⅵ).The method was applied for the determination of tungsten in steel samples with satisfactory results.
