Abstract
Socialist claims about core values are such values that address the nature of socialism and would be able to become spiritual flags or most common values held by people in the socialist society. These core values are not identical with the core values of socialist countries.Socialist cultural values are typologically higher than capitalist core values, and display the contributions of socialism to the cultural system of human values.Nevertheless, socialist core values must be differentiated from philosophy in work,policy-making or governance of socialist countries, and especially it cannot be understood as equal to the traditional virtues in such countries. If socialist core values are defined in such a new way, their contents must be re-interpreted.Accordingly,four major values should be seen as the core of socialism, including labors respecting, social differentiations minimizing, root people caring, and human action concerting. These four core values are unique spiritual flags held by socialism to struggle against capitalism.Among the four core values, labor respecting is the most fundamental and the base of other values.Socialist society is one of such societies that demonstrate most highly respects to labor.
