Observation on effect of captopril and metoprolol in treating chronic heart failure

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the effect of captopril and metoprolol in treating chronic heart failure (CHF). Methods: The 68 cases with CHF in our hospital from January 2009 to January 2010 were divided into the observe group and the control group. The control group received the treatment of normal therapeutic measure,and the observe group received the treatment of captopril and metoprolol on the foundation of normal therapeutic measure. Results: The SBP, DBP, HR and EF in two groups after treatment were lower than those before treatment,and there were significant difference in them respectively(P0.05). The SBP, DBP, HR and EF in the observe group after treatment were lower than those in control group, and there were significant difference in them respectively(P0.05). The total effective rate was 85.29% in the observe group and 61.76% in the control group, and there was significant difference in them (P0.05). There was no significant difference in the two groups. Conclusion: The effect of captopril and metoprolol in treating chronic heart failure is obvious and can improve the prognosis, so they are worth being used widely.
