Therapeutic effect of Tongxinluo capsule on unstable angina pectoris

Objective To investigate the clinical therapeutic effect of Tongxinluo capsule on unstable angina pectoris.Methods Totally 120 patients with unstable angina pectoris were randomly divided into two groups: control group were treated with regular therapy,including Aspirin 100mg qd,Betaloc 12.5mg bid,Nitroglycerin 0.5 ~ 1.0mg prn,and Simvastatin 10mg qn,low molecular weight heparin iH q12h for 7 days.In addition to the regular medicines,Tongxinluo group were treated with Tongxinluo(4 capsules tid),half an hour postprandial oral administration.After treatment for 4 weeks,the total clinical effect,symptom of angina pectoris and other indicators,such as electrocardiogram(ECG),blood lipid and coagulant-anticoagulant function were observed and analyzed to evaluate the effect of Tongxinluo.Results In Tongxinluo group,the total clinical effective rate were 83.33% and markedly effective rate was 41.67%.The rates of total and marked alleviation of angina pectoris were 93.33% and 51.67%,respectively.The total and marked improvement rates of ECG were 86.67% and 41.67%.All the indicators were favorably changed in Tongxinluo group when compared with that of the control group(P 0.05).Besides,Tongxinluo capsule significantly reduced the total cholesterol and low density lipoprotein,increased high-density lipoprotein,and prolonged thrombin time(P 0.05).Conclusion Tongxinluo capsule significantly ameliorate symptoms of unstable angina pectoris,and improve the profile of lipid,coagulant function and ECG of myocardial ischemia.
