Treatment of 39 Cases of Chronic Stable Angina Pectoris with Tongxinluo Capsule

Abstract

OBJECTIVE To observe the effect of Tongxinluo Capsule in the treatment of stable angina pectoris.METHOD Seventy-six patients were randomly divided into a control group of 39 patients treated with Tongxinluo Capsule as well as western drugs Metoprolol,Simvastatin,and enteric-coated aspirin,and a control group treated with only the western drugs mentioned above.All the patients were given therapeutic effect evaluation four weeks after the treatment.RESULT The total effective rates with ECG obtained in the treatment and control groups were 71.18% and 48.64% respectively(P0.05).CONCLUSION Tongxinluo Capsule has definite effect in treating stable angina pectoris.
