The Application of Communicative Approach to the English Teaching in Higher Vocational Colleges

Abstract

Communication is an important aspect of language competence.The purpose of foreign language teaching is to enable students to master the communication competence.It is the best way to apply the communicative approach in English teaching in order to achieve the aim.According to the characteristics of the communicative approach,the author emphasizes some specific methods of applying this approach to English teaching,and works out the necessity of using it.
