Abstract
Objectine: To study the effects of NGD, a new traditional Chinese medicine product, on thrombosis formation in vivo and platelet aggregation in vitro of rats and investigate the mechanism of promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis. Methods: The rats were randomly divided into five groups: NGD group(high,moderate, and low dose), Aspirin group, and control group. Thrombosis formation in vivo was induced by electronic impulse after 20 days. Occlusion time(OT) was measured then. The effects of NGD on platelet aggregation induced by ADP in vitro were examined. Results: The high and moderate dose of NGD evidently inhibited the thrombosis formation in vivo and the ADP-induced increase of platelet maximum aggregation rate in vitro, with a concentration-dependent manner. Conclusion: NGD can significantly inhibit thrombosis formation in vivo and platelet aggregation in vitro.
