Abstract
Objective To explove the therapeutic efficacy of flupentixol and melitracen combined with conventional medicine in patients with refractory functional bowel disorders(FBD).Method 60 patients with FBD,defined by the Rome Ⅲ,were given flupentixol and melitracen combined with conventional medicine(such as antispasmodic agents, prokinetic drugs, probiotics et al).The clinical outcomes were evaluated by scales changes of clinical symptom, depression, anxiety, and quality of life at the beginning and 6 weeks after treatment.Result All 60 cases completed therapy and 6 weeks follow-up visit. The overall response rate was 96.6%.The general severity score of symptoms(3.78 ± 1.6 vs 1.98 ± 0.78) were subsided significantly(P 0.01).The score of the severity and frequency of single symptom were subsided(P 0.05,respectively).The score of depression(62.68 ± 5.94 vs 47.74 ± 16.06,P 0.01) and score of anxiety(61.35 ± 6.86 vs 46.57 ± 14.36,P 0.01) were significantly. Conclusion The therapeutic efficacy of flupentixol and melitracen combined with conventional medicine in patients with refractory functional bowel disorders is explicit. The symptoms, depression and the quality of life can be all improved significantly.
