Analysis on Soil Nutrition and Fertilizer Strategy in 12 Regions of Yunnan Province

Soil and tobacco leaf samples were taken in 12 regions of Yunnan province.The results showed that most soil pH was in appropriate amount for tobacco,onlyit was low in Simao area.The high content of soil organic matter and available nitrogen was found.Soil available P ranged from appropriate to deficiency for most regions except for Kunming and Yuxi regions.It wao faund that soil available K was rich but the content K in leaf was low.So the tobacco fertilizer strategy in Yunnan province should be controlling nitrogen and supplying potassium.For low nutrients area such as Simao area more and rational ratio fertilizer application was recommended.
