Nutrient Status of Tobacco-grown Soil in Qiannan

In order to provide reference data for balanced fertilization of high quality tobacco and special fertilizer formula for tobacco,1 250 soil samplesat 0~20 cm depth were collected from nine counties in Qiannan tobacco farming area,soil pH and available nutrients were detected and analyzed.The results showed that pH of most tobacco-grown soils wrere in a suitable range.Organic matter content in soil was moderate or rich.Moreover,contents of available N and P were high,while average content of available K was moderate.Therefore,it was necessary to regulate acidic soil pH by using lime.Organic fertilizer should be not applied or less applied in soils rich and very rich in organic matter.However,N,P,K nutrients should follow the principle of controlling N,Maintaining P and Increasing K' to increase available K in soil.
