Abstract

Objective To evaluate the efficiency of Urapidil for the hypertensive emergency. Methods 30cases with hypertensive emergency were administrated with Urapidil by intravenous injection and intravenous drop infusion. The changes of blood pressure and heart rate were recorded at5min,10min,20min,30min,60min and120min before and after the injection. Results Systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure dropped at5min and reached the maximal extent at30min after injection, and remained at the stable level during the following time. There was no marked change in heat rate. Conclusions Urapidil can decrease blood pressure quickly and significantly without any obvious side effect and influence to the heart rate in the treatment of hypertensive emergency. It can be considered as the first choice in treating patients with hypertensive emergency.
