Abstract

Objective:To investigate the expessions of Ang-2,CD105 and CD34 and their biological significance in gliomas.Methods:The expressions of Ang-2 and MVD labeled by CD105,CD34 were examined by SP immunohistochemical staining in 45 human glioma specimens and 10 normal human brain tissue specimens.Results:The positive expression rates of Ang-2 in gliomas(62.2%)was significantly higher than that of normal human brain tissues(P0.05).The microvessel density(MVD)marked by CD105 or CD34 in gliomas was obviously higher than in normal brain tissue(P0.01).The positive label index of Ang-2 expression and CD105-MVD were closely correlated with pathological grade of gliomas(P0.01),but no significance between CD34-MVD and pathological grade(P0.05).There was coexpression of Ang-2 and CD105 or Ang-2 and CD34 in gliomas,the expression of CD105 had higher specificity in gliomas.Conclusion:Ang-2,CD105 and CD34 play important role in malignant progression of gliomas;CD105 is more specific than CD34 to reflect the proliferation of endothelial cells.
