Abstract

Objective:To explore the efficacy of the invasive mechanical ventilation in the treatment of severe acute left ventricular failure (ALVF).Methods:Retrospective analysis of 23 patients with severe ALVF applied invasive mechanical ventilation on the basis of conventional treatment. Results:After 2-hour treatment of invasive mechanical ventilation in patients arterial blood gas pH,arterial partial pressure of oxygen(PaO2),arterial carbon dioxide partial pressure (PaCO2),percutaneous arterial oxygen saturation (SpO2),heart rate (HR) and respiratory rate (R) markedly improved (P0.01).With the treatment of invasive mechanical ventilation 20 patients got better. The total effective rate 86.9% (20/23).Conclusion:Invasive mechanical ventilation can rapidly improve patient symptoms and is an effective supportive measure to rescue severe acute left ventricular failure.
