Abstract
Stripe rust is one of the most important diseases of wheat. It once was popular in China and resulted in a massive loss of wheat yield. Rescently molecular markers were widely used to study genes resistant to stripe rust in wheat. It is an effective way to use resistant cultivars conferring major resistance genes by maker-assisted selection, which would accelerate breeding program. This paper briefly introduced the concepts and methods of several commonly used molecular markers, introduced molecular marker used in the gene mapping of stripe rust in the past few years in details, and prospected the future studies on DNA molecular maker to the wheat resistance to stripe rust.
