Abstract
Objective To explore the changes of IL-6,TNF-α in serum from aged cerebral infarction patients and the relationship between IL-6,TNF-α and cerebral infarction prognosis. Methods 72 patients and 70 healthy persons were selected from the affiliated provine hospital of shandong university,who were all selected into groups after appearance symptoms 24 hours. IL-6,TNF-α were measured on the same time of diagnosis and the 1st,2nd,3rd,4th,6th,10th day. The volume of infarction was examined on 7th day by CT. Rankin grade mark was made as critial neural function recovery. Results IL-6 of patients reached the peak on the time of coming into hospital and the 3rd day during the hospital. The level of IL-6 in patients on all time point were all higher than that of healthy person (P0.01),and its content had the relationship with the voluem of infarction and Rankin grade mark. There was no difference between the level of TNF-α on all time point and that of healthy person. Conclusions IL-6 can reflect the extent of damage of brain in cerebral infarction and has relationship with the patients′ prognosis. IL-6 can be made as diagnostic indicator for aged early sensitive cerebral infarction,which raise in early stage of disease.
