Abstract

The changes of contents of three osmotic regulatory metabolites in leaves from eight bamboo species under low temperature stress were studied.The results showed that the contents of soluble protein,soluble sugar and proline in leaves of bamboo changed significantly under low temperature stress.Under-25℃,the range of soluble protein content was 2.37-5.18mg/g,the soluble sugar was 21.22-52.27mg/g,and the proline was 139.75-1213.89μg/g of eight bamboo species.The result of ANOVA and multi-comparison showed that the contents of soluble protein,soluble sugar and proline had significant changes under the different temperature,and the content of soluble protein and soluble sugar of the different varieties had not significant difference,but the contents of proline from the different varieties had significant difference.The contents of three osmotic regulatory metabolites in leaves from the cold-resistance varieties were higher than that of the others.
