Status of health education level of the community health service organizations in Chongwen District,Beijing City

Objective To understand the needs of residents for health education in Chongwen District of Beijing City,and to provide basis for practicing health education activities.Methods With random sampling,residents who took part in the health examination were selected to undergo a survey for the status and recognition of health education in community health service centers.Results The rate of the participants who were satisfied with the health education in community health service centers was 22.67%,and 90.25% of the participants thought the knowledge of health education provided by community health service centers was scientific and pertinent,but 92.54% of them thought the high-level hospitals had authority in health education.The rates of needs and recognition for health care knowledge about hypertension,diabetes and coronary heart diseases were 90.63% and 96.56%,respectively.The rates of needs and recognition for health knowledge about adolescent vision protection were 23.90% and 1.23%,respectively.Conclusion Community health service centers could provide economical,quick,nice and convenient health education,but have the disadvantage of low quality level of health service.The ability of health service for staff should be improved with the expanding range of community health education.
