Abstract

Objective To investigate the dynamic changes of platelet platelet endotheliocyte cellular adhesion molecule1(PECAM-1) in patients with acute cerebral infarction(ACI).Methods The platelet PECAM-1 expression levels of different times in 68 patients with acute cerebral infarction(ACI group)were measured by whole blood flow cytometry, and compared with those of 35 normal controls(control group). Results The platelet PECAM-1 expression levels in ACI group were higher than those in control group(P0.01),and reached the peak on the 48th hour, and still higher than that of control group on the 14th day(P0.01).The platelet PECAM-1 expression levels had the less positive relation with infarctus volume(r=0.39,P0.05),and had no relation with neurologic impairment degree, and had the less negative relation with the neurologic impairment degree on the 14th day(r=-0.43,P0.05).Conclusions Platelet PECAM-1 participate in the different course of pathophysiology of acute cerebral infarction.
