Survey of butterfly species in Zijin Mountain National Forest Park,Nanjing

Abstract
We made a survey of butterfly species in Zijin Mountain National Forest Park,coming to a conclusion that the area boasted altogether 120 species,categorized into 73 genera within 9 families(detailed with 14 species of 6 genera in Papilionidae,12 species of 6 genera in Pieridae,2 species of 2 genera in Danaidae,17 species of 8 genera in Satyridae,29 species of 19 genera in Nymphalidae,27 species of 17 genera in Lycaenidae,17 species of 13 genera in Hesperidae,and single speices of single genera in both Parnassidae and Libytheidaes).Ypthima insolita Leech in Satyridae is a newly-recorded species in Jiangsu Province.By the analysis of butlerfly fauna structure within the confines of Zijin National Forest Park,we determined that Oriental species were an overwhelming butterfly group.
