Abstract

By the survey of butterflies in The National Forest Park of Chanku Temple,the diversity in this area wasstudied.The total species of butterflies collected were 43 which consist of 6families,31 genera.The main compo-nents of the butterfly community were families Lycaenidae (11 genera and 12 species), Pieridae (5 gengra and9 species),Nymphalidae (5 genera and 8 species), Hesperidae (4 genera and 4 species),Papiliounidae (3genera and 7 species),Satyridae (3 genera and 3 species).
