Abstract
Medicinal plant is one of the most valuable natural resources. The research on medicinal plants has great theoretical and practical significance. With the rapid development of molecular biology,as a new genetic marker technology,DNA molecular marker technology is more and more widely used in the research area of medicinal plants. This article briefly introduced some common technologies of DNA molecular marker(such as RAPD,RFLP,AFLP,SCAR,ISSR,SNP,etc.).Then,this paper reviewed the application of DNA molecular marker technology on identification of germplasm resources of medicinal plants, genetic diversity of medicinal plants, relationship analysis of medicinal plant species. Finally, the prospect of the application of DNA molecular markers was forecasted in this paper.
