An Empirical Study of the Influences of FDI on Independent Innovation Capability of Domestic Enterprises in Chinese Manufacturing Industries

Based on the panel data of 27 manufacturing industries in our country from 2009 to 2012,this paper estimated the impact of FDI on the independent innovation capability of domestic enterprises in Chinese manufacturing industries. The findings of this study show that: FDI promotes the integral independent innovation capability and low-level independent innovation capability of domestic enterprises in Chinese manufacturing industries obviously,but the promoting effect on highlevel independent innovation capability of domestic enterprises is not obvious; Research funds has positive effects on the independent innovation capability of domestic enterprises in Chinese manufacturing industries,but not obvious; Research personnel obviously promotes the independent innovation capability of domestic enterprises,especially the promoting effect on high-level independent innovation capability of domestic enterprises is most obvious; Degree of market competition and size of company all inhibit the independent innovation capability of domestic enterprises in Chinese manufacturing industries,but also not obviously; Based on the results of this study,this paper analyzes the causes and puts forward relevant policy about using FDI to promote the independent innovation capability of domestic enterprises.
