Abstract
Objective:To study the dynamic changes and clinical singniticance of interleukin 6(IL 6) and interleukin 8(IL 8) in serum of patients with acute myocardial infarction(AMI).Methods:Asynchronous serum IL 6 and IL 8 concentrations measured with radioimmunological assay in 30 patients with AMI from symptoms onset to thromblytic therapy finished and the datas were compard with 20 members of a healthy controlgroup,to investigate the relationship between the changes and myocardial ischemia/reperfusion.Results:The serum concentrations of IL 6 and IL 8 were elevated in all patients with AMI when compared with the healthy control group ( P 0 001),especially increased significantly in patients after thrombolytic therapy with reperfusion ( P 0 05),and the levels of IL 6 and IL 8 were found to be significantly higher in patients with complicated AMI than in patients with uncomplicated AMI ( P 0 05).Conclusion:Changes of IL 6 and IL 8 in serum of the patients with AMI were shown to be contributed to evaluate the severity of AMI and the effects of thromblytic therapy.
