Abstract

Objective: To understand the epidemic characteristics of measles and rubella of Dalian city in 2010 by detecting IgM antibody of them and provide scientific evidence for promoting the immunization programs. Methods: IgM antibodies in serum samples of measles and rubella suspected cases in 2010 were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).Results: 69 sampales of measles, rubella were detected for IgM antibody whole year. The positive rate of IgM antibody in measles was 28.99%,while that of IgM antibody in rubella was 43.48%.Epidemic areas were mainly the rural-urban fringe zone gathered with floating population. The morbidity of measles was mainly under the age of 5 and rubella was mostly in young people.Epidemic season was mainly spring. Conclusion:It is still the focus to strengthen the management of migrant population and to consolidate the administration of routine immunization programs for preventing outbreaks.
