Abstract
Objective:To study the pathogenesis theory of deficiency of Qi and blood stasis in ischemic stroke(IS).Methods: the pathogenesis theory of IS is studied by inquiring the theory of deficiency of Qi and blood stasis, recipes used in treating IS by past dynasties' doctors, and the relationship between the pathogenesis of deficiency of Qi and blood stasis and the pathogenesis of brain damage of toxin based on the systematic study of the documents in apoplexy. Results:the pathogenesis theory of deficiency of Qi and blood stasis is according with the clinical reality of IS and is accepted more and more by doctors. Conclusion:the pathogenesis theory of deficiency of Qi and blood stasis in IS could guide the treatment of IS more effectively.
