With documentation and historical comparative method,the paper probed into the historical relations between and a country to uncover the historical implication ofsports power. In the stage of eastern civilization spreading out to the west in ancient China,the Powerful Sports Nation is the world power with traditional culture,which has advanced and international influence. However,in the stage of western civilization taking over the east,the traditional culture is so relatively undeveloped that it had no influence on other countries,and it had no worldwide influence on advanced western field,either. In modern times,the sports powermeans national revolution and independence by means of sports,including western modern and traditional in China. In contemporary times,sports power,according to the western sports,is one with strong power,first-class competition,good international image in the world and greater international influence,while in traditional field,with no international influence.Therefore,at the present time,the sports poweris a nation with culture which has advanced and worldwide influence,and its comprehensive national power is first-class in the world.
