Abstract
Polypropylene(PP) grafted with maleic anhydride(MAH) was performed via solid-state modification method with benzyl peroxide as initiator. The influence factors including the grafting reaction time, the grafting reaction temperature, the amount of initiator and monomer on grafting rate were systematically investigated. The structure, melting and crystallization behaviors of graft copolymer were characterized by IR and DSC,respectively. The optimum solid-state grafting reaction conditions were determined as follows:the grafting reaction time was 3.5 h,the grafting reaction temperature was 100℃,the monomer amount was 8% of mass of PP,the initiator amount was 8% of mass of MAH.Compared with those of PP,the Tm and Tc of modified PP decreased remarkably, while its ΔHm and Xc increased to some degree.
