Abstract

Objective: To study diagnosis and management of sublingual gland cyst. Methods:Clinical information of 158 patients is retrospectively analyzed. Results: All of 158 cases,112 cases of simple sublingual gland cyst、32 cases of the extra oral type of sublingual gland cyst and 14 cases of mixtured sublingual gland cyst.Diagnosis of the extra oral type of sublingual gland cyst is easy to ambiguity or misdiagnosis. All of the cases are cured by extirpating the sublingual gland. Conclusion: The plunge ranula is much less in clinic,so we should pay attention to its differential diagnosis. It is very crutial to remove the sublingual gland entirely for its therapy.Generally,We usually choose to operate through the intra oral approach.
