Clinical Study of Treatment of Submaxillary Type Sublingual Gland Cyst

Objective To find the clinical features and treating methods for the sublingual gland eyst of the submaxillary type.Methods 18 clincal data of submaxillary type cyst of sublingual gland from 1996 to 2003 were analyzed.Results 18 clincal data on submaxillary type cyst of sublingual gland were cured by surgical operations.Conclusion The excessive development of the sublingual gland and developing defect of myloohyoid muscle should result in the submaxillary type sublingual gland cyst.The resection of the sublingual gland and its cysts is the best effective treatment and can prevent the recurrence of cyst.
