Cultural Diversity and the Construction of Socialist Core Values

Cultural diversity constitutes the basic characteristics of Chinese cultural ecology.In this article we analyzed the cultural expression modes and main characteristics from different perspectives among the mainstream culture,mass culture and elite Culture,the traditional culture and modern culture,network culture and film and TV culture,the feudal culture,capitalist culture and socialist culture as well as the relationships within these cultures.We must fully consider the multiple impacts from the cultures on the construction of socialist core values,avoid the influences of the negative culture or the backward culture through the advanced culture to guide the direction of cultural development.We should adhere to the guiding position of Marxism and use the advanced cultures such as mass culture and network culture for reference to improve the construction of Socialist core values.
