Acromioclavicular external fixator for the treatment of dislocation of acromioclavicular joint

Objective To observe the clinical effect and superiorty of acromioclavicular external fixator on dislocation of acromioclavicular joint Methods 29 cases of dislocation of acromioclavicular joint were treated with closed reduction and percutaneous fixation with acromioclavicular external fixator for 4～6 weeks.All patients were followed from 3～24 months.Results According to the criteria of Lazzcanas,24 had excellent results and 5 good.Conclusion In order to have anatomic and functional charateristics of acromioclavicular joint,the acromioclavicular external fixator can overcome pathological stress after acromioclavicular dislocation by fixing the scapulae spina and distal clavicle.Its simple structure, convenient manipulation and firm fixation lent itself being a superior apparatus than the shoulderelbow pressure and fixation with wiring
