Insecticidal Activity of Datura tatula L.on Mythimna separate Walker and Aphis

The insecticidal activity of different extracts from D.tatula L.against M.separate Walker and aphis were conducted.The results showed that the petroleum ether and ethyl acetate extracts from the different parts of D.tatula L.against M.separate Walker had contact activities,the corrected mortalities were 65.88% and 24.55%,respectively.The methanol extracts from different parts had no antifeeding effects against larvae of M.separate Walker and had no effect against ovum of M.separate Walker.The ether acetate and ethyl petroleum extracts from seeds against Aphis gossypii Glover had contact activities,the corrected mortalities were 97.41% and 94.18%,respectively.The ethyl petroleum and ether acetate extracts from seeds against Mythus persicae Sulzer and Macrosiphum avenae Fabricius had contact activities,the corrected mortalities were 60.99% and 31.60%,34.88% and 25.88%,respectively.
