Abstract

Abstract : The development of calligraphy in the Wei and Jin Dynasties formed the main structure of Chinese calligraphy not only in aesthetics but also in practice and brought about prosperity to Chinese calligraphy. It is argued in this paper that metaphysics in the Wei and Jin Dynasties offered a good deal of enlightenment to the aesthetic standards of calligraphic appreciation and contributed greatly to the aesthetic appreciationof calligraphy of esteeming meaning and esteeming gracefulness in the Wei and Jin Dynasties.
