Abstract

Zhou Yi affected the evolution of the poetic style in the Wei and Jin Dynasties from four aspects at least:its theory of cultivation provided the basic standard for the poets in the Wei and Jin Dynasties,which impelled the poets in the Wei and Jin Dynasties to form pluralistic characters such as robustness,enterprise,flinching,etc.;its methods of the division of the classification of images and watching for images promoted the construction of poetry images and made poetry in the Wei and Jin Dynasties take on the visage of rich and various styles and advocating realism;its remarks on the relationship between the emotions and the rhetoric were inherited and developed by the poets in the Wei and Jin Dynasties,meanwhile combined with Confucian poetry expressing ideals and the theory about the interaction of emotions and objects,made poetry in the Wei and Jin Dynasties have deep emotion connotation;its literalization process aggravated in the Wei and Jin Dynasties,poetry in the Wei and Jin Dynasties embodied such aesthetic characteristics as freshness and magnificence,unconventionality,sagaciousness,etc.
