On the Government-leading Civil Society in China

Abstract

A healthy and good civil society is the realistic foundation of realizing good governance.Observed from institutional changes,the Chinese civil society has developed into a government-leading society,which has exerted great inference on realizing the goal of good governance in China.The government plays the role of anengineer in the present process of constructing a civil society,who should create good institutional climate for the development of a civil society;on the other hand,who should cultivate self-development abilities of a civil society by employing all means.
