On Discipline Mission of “College Chinese”

College Chinese is a publicly basic course offered for non－Chinese majors,which aims at fostering the college students' the emotion of their human relations and ability of appreciating literary works as well as at developing their cultural vision.At present,however,the basic mission of the discipline has not been fully recognized in the academic circles.Besides,much should be done with the classic and culture of the Chinese textbooks,and many questions on how to teach Chinese course still remain to be answered.This paper tries to expound about what has been mentioned above.
