The Transformation of College Chinese

The recent years has witnessed an active tendency in the teaching reform and compilation of new textbooks concerning College Chinese.Anyhow,no achievement of exploration has been universally acknowledged in practical teaching,which fails to promote the transformation of the teaching model of College Chinese as a continuation of middle-school Chinese to a cultural quality-oriented education in universities.At present,when common curricula in universities are condensed,divided and miniaturized,the quality-oriented education of college students is actually shared by some curricula.College Chinese is one of them which bases its education on literary perspective.It is different from the instruction of literary specialties which foregrounds the inherent elements of literature.It also differs from the teaching of literary works in middle schools,which emphasizes the instrumentality of Chinese as a tool.Its goal in universities is to cultivate students' mentality and to review the meaning of life through literature.
