Abstract
Objective To investigate the clinical significance of plasma C reactive protein(CRP)and albuminuria(AU)in the evaluation of activity and severity of ulcerative colitis(UC).Methods The plasma CRP and AU in 25 patients with remissive UC,32 patients with active UC and 30 healthy people were detected by the detecting kit and immunonephelometry, respectively.Meanwhile, the endoscopy and histological examination were performed in patients with active UC.Results The activity of plasma CRP and the level of AU in active UC group were significantly higher than those in the healthy controls and remissive UC group( P 0.01).The two indexes presented high correlation with the activity and severity of UC,and medium correlation with endoscopic grades, and no correlation with the histological grades. Conclusion The activity of plasma CRP and the level of AU are valuable indexes in the evaluation of activity and severity of UC. \[
