Abstract

Objective To evaluate the clinical significance of serum C reactive protein (CRP) and CA125 in patient with ulcerative colitis.Methods Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA) was used to detect the level of serum CRP and CA125 in 38 patiens wih active phase UC,35 patients with catabasis UC and 39 healthy individuals.Results 1.The levels of CRP and CA125 in patients with active phage UC were significantly higher than those of patients with catabasis UC and healthy individuals (P0.01).The levels of CRP in patients with catabasis UC were higher than healthy individuals (P0.05),but there were no significant difference in the levels of CA125.2.The levels of CRP and CA125 in severe UC were higher than those of patients with medium or levis UC (P0.05).Conclusion The combined levels of serum CRP and CA125 are potential markers in the evaluation of UC severity.
