Abstract

Objective To explore the expression of Survivin, vascular endothelial cell growth factor(VEGF),and the distribution of microvessel density(MVD)in lesions of Condyloma Acuminatum(CA).Methods The expression of Survivin,VEGF,and CD34 were examined by immunohistochemical staining in lesions of CA in 48 cases and 25 normal foreskins,MVD was calculated by using monoclonal antibodies for CD34 microvascular endothelial cells staining. Results The positive rate of Survivin and VEGF in CA tissues was 68.75%(33/48) and 100%(48/48) respectively, while that in normal control was 4%(1/25),100%(25/25) respectively. The intensity of expression of Survivin,VEGF in CA tissues was obviously higher(2+~3+) than that in normal foreskins(-~2+and+~2+).There was a significant difference between two groups of MVD(P0.05).Conclusion The higher expression of Survivin and VEGF may play an important role in growth and angiogenesis of CA.
