Abstract
Objective: To explore an effective orthodontic method for treating impacted teeth. Methods: A total of 38 impacted teeth were included in this study. The effectiveness and therapeutic efficacy were retrospectively analyzed. Results: Among these 38 teeth,4 were left untreated,2 erupted spontaneously,7 extracted. Among the 25 teeth treated with orthodontic traction combined with closed-eruption technique,1 was extracted,20 were moved into the arches, and 4 are still under the treatment. Conclusion: With correct diagnosis, reasonable design, and appropriate surgical approach with proper force and anchorage, the impacted teeth could be moved into alignment with good esthetic and functional effect.
