Abstract

Performance-based anti-seismic design theory is a design principle firstly summed up from earthquake damages in recent years by American scholars.It is going to be the main direction of anti-seismic design.In this paper, the background,current status as well as the comparison between the current anti-seismic theory and performance-based one were discussed.
