Study on Regional Differences of Ecological Footprint in Jiangxi Province in 2003

The study briefly introduced the relevant concepts and computing methods of ecological footprint,then calculated the ecological footprint of Jiangxi Province and the cities in 2003.The results indicated that the ecological deficit per capita of the province is 0.0974 in 2003,the ecological footprint per capita had been much more than the ecological carrying capacity.Ganzhou,Ji'an and Fuzhou had a ecological surplus while the others had a ecological deficit.The ecological deficit is connected with the level of economic development and the area of city region.Accordingly,some countermeasures were put forward.
