Abstract
Purpose: To investigate the feasibility of reducing the radiation dose by adjusting the scan parameter in chest multi-slice CT examination.Materials and Methods: Randomly grouped 120 patients into control group and experimental group. The control group was consist of 63 cases, the scan parameter was 120 kV and 300 mA;the experimental group was consist of 57 cases, the scan parameter was 120 kV and 30~50 mA.Results: The image equality of the tow groups was of no significant difference, both reached the diagnostic standard. The mean CT dose indexes of control group and experimental group were 9.8mGy and 1.1mGy respectively. The dose of experimental group was lower than that of control group(P0.05).Conclusion: Low-dose chest CT scan provides diagnostically acceptable images with relevant diagnostic information, and the patients get the best radiation protection as well.
