Abstract
Xu Qian's poems are not well known to later generations though he was one of the leaders of the Association to Restore Classical Literature in the late Ming Dynasty.We can see from his posthumous poems that his ideas distinctively reflect reality and the times,and his poems show a respect for truth and knowledge,which are obscured as well as magnificent.The formation of these features has close relationship with Xu Qian's thoughts,his times and the vogue in the poetry circle at that time.Therefore,it is significant to explore Xu Qian's poems.
