A Win-win Policy Analysis for Manufacturing in Yangtze River Delta and Pearl River Delta

Abstract

The Yangtze River Delta and the Pearl River Delta are both important centers for manufacturing in China. However, given the similarity of the two regions' industry structures and of the fierce competition between their manufacturing industries, a negative impact may result on the healthy development of the industries . This article combines the shift-share method with the size/ prospect matrix to brings forward some policy advices on how the two governments there realize a win-win situation fortheir manufacturing.
