Comparative Analysis on the Manufacturing Competitiveness of Yangtze River Delta,Jing-Jin-Ji and Pearl River Delta——Based on Shift-Share Analysis

This paper analyzes the changes of manufacturing competitiveness and structure in Yangtze River Delta,Jing-Jin-Ji and Pearl River Delta,using the data from 2000 to 2004 and 2004 to 2008.The method used is shift-share analysis.The result shows that the competitiveness of manufacturing in Yangtze River Delta is declining,the post-advantage of that in Jing-Jin-Ji is highlighted and that in Pearl River Delta is increasing rapidly.Thus we can see the developing model and upgrading path of manufacturing in the three regions are different.During the process of manufacturing upgrading,every region needs to strengthen the internal cooperation,make good use of the complementary resources to achieve the joint development of it.
