Xiaoyin granules in combination with compound Glycyrrhizin in the treatment of psoriasis vulgaris

Objective To observe therapeutic effect of using Xiaoyin granules combining compound Glycyrrhizin in the treatment of psoriasis vulgaris.Methods Sixty three cases of psoriasis vulgaris patients in our hospital from January 2009 to June 2011 were divided into two groups randomly,in control group,29 patients were given Xiaoyin granules 5 capsules,three times a day,and transfer factor capsules 3 mg,two times a day,taking orally,externally using orsalin ointment as well.In treatment group,34 patients took compound Glycyrrhizin 50 mg orally,three times a day besides the above medical therapy,these two groups were observed the therapeutic effect for six weeks.Results After treatment,the PASI of treatment group was 3.61±2.26,it was lower than the control group with(7.3±1.7) score,there was significant difference between the two groups(P 0.05);The effective rates in treatment group and control group were 85.3% and 65.5% respectively,there was significant difference between the two groups(P 0.05);The indices such as routine blood test,routine urine test,liver function,renal function etc.were all with no abnormality seen before and after treatment.Conclusion Treatment method of using Xiaoyin granules in combination with compound Glycyrrhizin on psoriasis vulgaris can improve therapeutic effect apparently,it deserves to be applied widely.
